Lou Marchello

I graduated from Montana State university in 1965, got married and went to work for F.W. Woolworth. After 7 1/2 year’s with Woolworth,  I moved to Polson, MT and purchased Don’s Variety Store in 1971. I raised my three children in Polson, built a building and started the Crow’s Nest Gallery which I own and operate to this day.

I have been married to Irene for 27 years and have six grandkids, three girls and three boys. The two oldest are in college and the youngest is 12. All of my children live out of state. My son Tim, his wife Michelle and two boys living in Kenmore, WA. My oldest daughter Dana lives in Boston, MA and my youngest daughter Suzie and her husband Scott and their four children live in Seaside, OR.

In my 45 years in Polson, I have been very active in the community. Beside serving on          the GPCF board, I am the past President of the Chamber of Commerce, I currently serve         on the board of the Animal Shelter, am chairman of the City County Planning Board,             am a past City of Polson Mayor as well as past and current member of the City             commission. I belong to the Polson Business Committee and help with summer            activities and am a current member of Kiwanis.
